Voice, coming soon

Voice, on the sameconsent record.

Voice is the next channel on the platform: programmable calls and IVR flows that share the contact record and consent ledger your SMS, email, and WhatsApp already use. It's in development. Here's what's coming, and why the compliance groundwork matters now.

01What's coming

Calls that answer to the same rules.

Soon

Programmable calls

Outbound calls placed through the API with the same send-path checks as every other channel: consent first, then dial.

Soon

IVR flows

Inbound call menus and routing that read from the shared contact record, so a caller's history is in front of whoever answers.

Soon

Voice broadcasts

Prerecorded announcements to consenting audiences: the message class regulators watch most closely, gated accordingly.

02Why it belongs here

Voice is the most regulated channel of all.

Robocall rules are older, stricter, and more aggressively enforced than any texting regulation. A calling programme without a consent system isn't a growth channel. It's a liability with a dial tone.

That's why voice arrives here on the consent ledger, not beside it. Every opt-in you collect today on SMS, email, and WhatsApp builds the contact history and preference record that voice will read from on day one, with calling consent tracked as its own class, the way the law treats it.

03Compliance preview

The rules voice will ship with.

TCPA (US)

Prerecorded and autodialed calls to mobiles require prior express consent, and written consent when the content is marketing. The engine will treat voice consent as its own consent type, not an extension of SMS opt-in.

Do-not-call registries

US federal and state DNC lists, and their equivalents elsewhere, will be checked in the send path the same way quiet hours are today.

TRAI UCC (India)

India's unsolicited-commercial-communication rules extend DLT-style preference and consent scrubbing to voice. The groundwork we run for SMS DLT carries over.

Quiet hours

Calling windows are stricter than texting windows in most jurisdictions, and will be enforced per the recipient's region, not your server clock.
